Our team is experienced in working with riders of all skill levels. Upon scheduling guests will receive a pre-registration form, which helps us match you with a horse and experience.

Each trail ride includes orientation to the terrain and reviews essential riding skills.

Our age limit for trail rides is 14 years old.

We encourage youth to enroll in our Immersive Horsemanship Series, which helps us guide and assess their riding level. Give us a call at 805.415.8802 to learn more.

Our trail experiences range from 1 hour to half day rides depending on location and your preference.

Custom rides can also be arranged for a more personalized experience and are subject to approval and availability.

Please wear long pants, closed-toe shoes or boots, a light jacket, and a properly fitting hat for sun protection if you do not choose to wear a helmet.

We also recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, and a water bottle.

Helmets are provided if requested.

Please do not bring camera equipment unless previously arranged and discussed with our team.

We keep a close eye on weather conditions and prioritize rider safety. If the weather is unsuitable for riding (high winds, heavy rain, storm, excessive heat), we will reschedule your ride or offer a refund.

Our Cancellation Policy is 72 hours in advance. If guests do not cancel in time or don't show up for the ride, we will charge the full amount of the experience.

Cancellations made 72 hours before the scheduled ride receive a full refund.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the ride are non-refundable.

No-shows are non-refundable.

Rides may be postponed or canceled by SMO due to unsafe weather, trail conditions, horse welfare concerns, excessive heat, guide illness, or other safety considerations.

If the weather doesn't permit us to ride we will do our best to reschedule you. If we don't find a date that works, we will refund you the full charge.

Our signature rides take place throughout the Ojai Valley and along California's Central Coast, offering access to some of the region's most beautiful and diverse landscapes.

Depending on the experience you choose, you may ride through riverbeds, backcountry trails, scenic fire roads, open foothills, or local beaches.

When we’re not on the trail, we offer horsemanship and immersive experiences at our local ranch.
